Get Involved

Volunteers around the world host small hardware devices called probes, which collect data about Internet connectivity and reachability that benefits Internet users everywhere. Hosting a RIPE Atlas probe is easy – you simply apply online and we’ll ship you a probe, which you then plug into your router. You’ll earn credits you can use for your own customised measurements.

RIPE Atlas anchors play an integral role by acting as enhanced probes with greater measurement capacity and regional measurement targets for surrounding probes.

Sponsors contribute to the good of the Internet and can use the RIPE Atlas global network to gain valuable information about their own networks.

Want to help us build the largest Internet measurement network in the world? Help us distribute probes and promote RIPE Atlas.

Check out the most active RIPE Atlas users, new arrivals, sponsors, anchor hosts and photos – and find out where you can pick up a probe.

We develop RIPE Atlas in cooperation with the Internet community, and we want to know what you think. Find out how to get in touch.
